UBC Grad and General Manager – Community Development, Parks and Recreation for Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows prior to retirement.

Director on the Board of the BC School Trustees Association representing the collective voice of 60 BC Boards of Education to the Provincial Government 2019 -2021

Authored and presented policy papers to government on school capital funding and school site acquisitions.

Married to Nancy for 48 years. Nancy and Mike  are both very proud of their children, and their four grandchildren. Lindsay and Brian are both graduates of Pitt Meadows Secondary and SFU. Nancy retired in 2010 after 32 years as an educator in the Mission School District.
